A free open-source mobile dribbble browser
Because I wanted to look at sweet dribbble shots on my phone while waiting in line at the grocery store.
You already got it! There’s nothing to download, hooppps is a webapp. Just revisit this URL on your mobile browser and bookmark this baby!
**Not just for iPhones.
hooppps was made by Michael Parenteau & Relevance, Inc. It’s built on Rails 3 and uses the swish gem. The code is hosted on github and is ready for your design/dev love. hooppps is in no way affiliated with dribbble but is obviously a huge fan!

Awesome texture @Eric Hoffman, but the one thing that looks a little off is the stitching in the blue bar. It goes all the way down to the edge of that blue bar... wouldn't there be some more of the blue after the stitching before the paper tears off?

You da man, as always!!!! Curious- I use the Geomicons too and it always bugs me when one icon is filled in and the other has negative space. The two icons in the header, the gear seems outlined while the lines icon filled in. I've added a 1pixel stroke before to compensate icons when using that set... I know using the same icon set in an app is expected and excepted, but curious your thoughts on when icons differ in their negative space like that....

Eric, it looks awesome as usual. Nit picky item: why not go flush to the edges with the design? Does the wood background serve a purpose?
-
Eric Hoffman
@Rally Interactive (via Ben Cline) Yes, the wood is a branding thing with the iPad app and it does have some use.
@Chris Irwin the nab icon would look very strange with a stroke only. Sometimes those treatments cannot be applied equally on the icons.
@Dennis Covent the text is a mess?
Everyone else: I love you guys and thank you a ton for the great feedback, support and kind words! You folks are a great community to fall back to.

@Eric Hoffman I mean this part: http://cl.ly/1P382D2c1i3h3B1a240S
With a bit more shadow it looks better I think?

Looks awesome. I love the texture and the use of the blue and the wood behind it. Only thin\kg i possibly think needs a bit of work is the way the text fades out at the bottom.

Hi Eric, I just saw the app, it looks awesome, but I was wanting to ask you and maybe other designers, did anyone put a rational thinking why the menu button is always on the left top of the iOS screen? I know Facebook does it, I know Path does it but what is the real thinking behind this?
I personally find it very unusable, especially when you want to browse through the app single handed. I think it is more usable to be on the right, it's easy to get to it.
And how about now with the new iPhone screen, it's practically impossible to reach the diagonal area with one hand.
Thx
